As part of the Eswatini FinTech Working Group (EFWG), the Central Bank of Eswatini participated in the Indaba X Awarding ceremony held at the University of Eswatini, Kwaluseni campus yesterday. This award ceremony was a celebration of the exceptional talent and dedication of the participants under the following categories:

Poster Presentation winners
·  Sifiso Ngwenya
·  Khanyisile Magagula
·  Chukwu Chidinma

Hackathon winners
·  Mayibongwe Mahlalela
·  Lunga Ndzimandze
·  Thandokuhle Msane

These winners were rewarded with cash prizes totaling E80, 000, a significant increase compared to previous years. This reflects the growing recognition of the Indaba X and the valuable contributions made by the participants.

CBE Deputy Director Operations – Fintech and Innovation, Linda Dlamini-Khumalo, urged young emaSwati to nurture their innovative spirits to propel Eswatini towards self-sustainability. “Let us continue to innovate, and never give up on our quest to be the architects of a better Eswatini. Together, we can harness the power of technology, embrace our unique language, and solve the pain points faced by emaSwati.” She said.
